    Raf Simons FW2004-2005 Paisley Hoodie from "Waves". Iconic collection which was built around this excerpt from Spanish Philosopher Ortega Y Gasset: Life is, in itself and forever, shipwreck. To be shipwrecked is not to drown. The poor human being, feeling himself sinking into the abyss, moves his arms to keep afloat. This movement of the arms is culture—a swimming stroke. For this season Raf printed this passage on tags, sweaters, jackets and so on. This is also carefully printed along the printed paisley design for this piece. Loose hood, cotton drawstrings and loose/wide fit. Raf's fabrics tend to deteriorate and age gracefully. 7.5/10 condition. Size 52 Fits an L-XL

    SS04 "May The Circle Be Unbroken" Sleeveless Oversized Hoodie with Cutout. For this collection, Raf Simons conveyed a spiritual ethos in conjunction with Herman Hesse's novel "Siddhartha" which Simons depicts in the under-layer graphic of this hoodie and other pieces throughout the collection. Extremely oversized hoodie with drawstrings in the front, colourfaded, "druid" oversized hoodie. Back featured two layers of fabric, an external shell with an underlayer thinner fabric featuring the print mentioned of "Siddhartha". 7.5/10 condition. Size 48 but fits very oversized.

    One of Raf Simons's prominent graphic heavy collections; "Closer" -- where he famously obtained access to Peter Saville's Archives in AW03. The front features a print based on the piece "Oxford Street".  A beautiful and meticulously constructed piece consisting of what looks like digital soundwaves cascading on top of each other while becoming denser and denser the further down the gradient it goes. Fitted turtleneck with oversized sleeves. Pitch black. 9/10 condition. Fits an all around loose M really well.

    “Today’s living environment is about consuming as well as being consumed; some suggest this could lead to an apocalyptic end, while others, particularly younger generations, take this reality as their cue to create new, more viable and flexible personas.” - Raf Simons Show Notes. Probably one of the most iconic pieces from Raf Simons -- The "Consumed" Button Up in white on black as displayed on the runway. This piece deserves some explanation especially as there's little of it despite the interest surrounding it today. The button up, to bluntly put it, graphically exemplifies "Consumed", the entire season and its creative foundations, as the above show note statement suggests. More so it resembles the "tattooed" model also carrying similar corporate graphics which was a strong highlight for Raf's show. And as with all of Raf's work, inspired and continues to inspire Men's fashion/youth amongst creators, enthusiasts and the like. Ashley Bickerton's work was also featured in the 2003 Consumed season as well. Matte and coated fabric. Sunlight does not shine through this. The graphics are also matted and coated and have a distinct texture to them. Collegiate button down collar with signature Raf Simons high waisted, untuckable bottom hem. 1/2 length sleeves. 8/10 condition. Size 48, fits a slim M.

Print is a thick, robust material as always with older raf. Dye processing is apparent as the tee's colour is muddy. Thin and elastic cut and sew tee. Oversized Length. 8/10 condition. Sz 52 and fits anywhere from M-XXL comfortably.

Instead of there being a break or a lapse where the eyelet meets the upper near the sole, the shoe's leather wraps around to the other side and meets there.     Raf Simons "OG" Velcro Strap Hi Top with croc emboss. This is the Italian made version which slightly differs in features and quality from the current Portuguese made Velcros. Embossed in a croc like pattern. "Raf Simons", while slightly faded, is embossed on the velcro strap's ends. "R" is also embossed on the tongue and pull tab. 7/10 Condition. The outer has some decent damage if closely inspected. The inner has some dye bleeding. Heel drag, for a shoe this old is surprisingly decent. Creasing. Size 41.
