Maison Martin Margiela Iconic Paint Splattered German Army Trainer Sneaker. The only piece of the "replica"(outside of parfumes) line that doesn't follow its biyearly trend, the GAT is a staple of Margiela's footwear. This is the full leather calf/lamb split in black instead of the usual split with nubuck. Last year Margiela introduced custom MMM soles instead of the conventional GAT sole. Paint on the sneaker is extremely durable compared to what other designers try to do with "Pollock" styled designs. 9.5/10 Nearly perfect, with just some light creasing. Size 42 Fits True to a US9.

This is the Classic "GAT" or German Army Trainer modeled after the trainers used by the German Army in the mid 20th century. The only difference is that the entire pair is completely "drenched" in blue velvet, the upper, shoelaces, sole etc making it an eye catching pair of shoes.
